The Corn Moon
The Corn Moon of September 7th, 2025, was a beautiful full moon that marked the late-summer harvest period. It appeared especially bright and golden in the night sky, a result of its low position near the horizon and the scattering of shorter blue wavelengths by Earth’s atmosphere. This traditional “harvest moon” guided farmers in gathering crops and is celebrated in many cultures for its warm, luminous glow.
